The stage is now set for the world’s largest cultural gathering after the United Arab Emirates officially began Expo 2020 Dubai in an inaugural ceremony watched by millions across the world.
Over the course of 182 days, more than 200 participants, including countries, multilateral organizations, enterprises, and educational institutions, as well as millions of visitors, will work to produce the largest and most diverse World Expo ever.
When Dubai was chosen eight years ago to host the 2015 Expo in Milan, Italy, the 4.3-square-kilometer location was desert.
After spending $6.3 billion, the event now expects 25 million visitors to the venue over the next six months.
Visitors can purchase tickets online or in person at the Expo, but the most cost-effective option is to purchase an Expo 2020 monthly pass for $20 (Dh95), which is valid for the entire month of October.
Residents may explore the site for 31 days and enjoy immersive experiences, electric entertainment, and innovations for the price of a single-entry day ticket with the ‘October Pass.’ Only until October 15th will the pass be available for purchase. Free admission is available to visitors over the age of 60, individuals of determination, and children under the age of 18. The doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.
Getting to Expo 2020 couldn’t be easier, whether you’re arriving by Metro, bus, taxi, or automobile. There are three primary gates, each around a 20-minute drive from Dubai Marina, and the Expo 2020 Metro Route 2020 will take you right to the venue.
The Dubai Metro Red Line, which runs from the city of Dubai to the Expo 2020 entrance, is the quickest and most environmentally friendly method to get there. The Expo Station opens at 06:15 a.m. on Saturdays and Thursdays, and at 09:15 a.m. on Fridays. The Expo Station’s last departures are at 00:00 Saturday through Wednesday and 01:00 Thursday through Friday.
